You Have To See These Photos To Believe Them – Sojourn Music Folks & Others At Interstates Christmas Show

Many Sojourn worship leaders and musicians actively participate in the Louisville music scene, and several tour nationally as part of various bands. Last Saturday at The 930 Art Center, home of Sojourn’s Midtown Campus, we hosted a “Ding Dong Dandy Christmas” spectacular headlined by the progressive post-rock band Interstates.  All members of this band are Sojourners as well.  And one of the other acts in this concert also has Sojourn Music connections — the Yuletide Carrols are a female trio made up of singers who also lead worship at Sojourn Gathered on Sundays. Neil Robins is a renaissance man within Sojourn Music.  He writes songs, he sings, he plays guitars, keyboards, cello, bass and more.  He leads worship, he works as a freelance record producer, he plays in the rock band that he founded with wife Kate, Dirt Poor Robins. Last week we told you about the last Acts 29 Network church planting Boot Camp of 2009, Ambition, which we’re hosting at Sojourn Community Church.  I told you that we’d have a special Worship track at this conference, hosted by our Worship & Arts Pastor Mike Cosper and paneled by leading worship pastors, leaders and writers like Sandra McCracken, Tim Smith of Mars Hill Church and Kevin Twit of Indelible Grace.
