Kevin Twit To Lead Sojourn Songwriting Workshop On Anne Steel’s Hymns
Join us this Sunday, 2pm at Sojourn’s Midtown Campus (930 Mary Street, Louisville, KY) for a FREE songwriting workshop led by Kevin Twit, founder of Indelible Grace and pastor in the Reformed University Fellowship. Worship Leader Rebecca Dennison arranged the famous text (Colossians 1:15-20)and wrote the music for it with Worship & Arts Pastor Mike Cosper. But now, over at their blog “The Blazing Center” they have a few pointers for anyone who wants to light the way for mediocrity and theological confusion. Check out this tongue-in-cheek post, “How To Write An Awful Worship Song.” Excerpts: Recycle A Love Song. Write a song for your girlfriend. When she breaks up with you, convert it into a worship song. Be sure to change all uses of “girl” or “baby”.
