Call to Worship:
Today is Trinity Sunday. Historically, It’s a day when the Church celebrates & focuses on the mystery, power and beauty of our triune God. Our worship, as the church, is made possible by the Trinity: We worship God the father, by the power of the Holy Spirit in our hearts and through our High Priest, Jesus Christ who draws us near to Him.

LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory in the heavens.
Through the praise of children and infants
you have established a stronghold against your enemies,
to silence the foe and the avenger.
When we consider your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?
You have made them a little lower than the angels
and crowned them with glory and honor.
O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
Praise him for his mighty works and unequaled greatness!
Let everything that has breath praise God!
- Based on Psalm 8 and Psalm 150:6

Song: All Creatures of Our God and King written by Francis of Assisi.
Song: Our Great God written by Fernando Ortega and Mac Powell.

Prayer of Confession:

Praise be to you, O God the Father:
You created all things by your power and wisdom
and so loved the world that you gave your Son to be our Savior.
Praise be to you, O God the Son:
You became human like us in all things, but lived without sin,
died for our offenses, and rose again for our justification.
Praise be to you, O God the Holy Spirit:
You lead us into all truth and spread the love of God in our hearts
Holy God, we often mold you into something less than you are and doubt your love and power in our lives.
Forgive us Lord. Help us to see you and to know you more fully.
Fill us with the vision of your glory, that we may always serve and praise you. Amen

Song: Be Thou My Vision the anonymously written hymn.

Assurance/Peace:

Hear the good news:

Christ died for us while we were yet sinners; that proves God’s love toward us. In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven!
In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven. Glory to God. Amen.
-The Worship Sourcebook, based on Romans 5:6

We’re no longer enslaved to sin, and instead of warring against one another, we can love and serve one another.  Let’s remember this as we greet each other.

Song: Holy, Holy, Holy written by Reginald Heber and John B. Dykes. This song went undiscovered in Heber’s lifetime. After he’d passed away, his wife found the lyrics among some of his other writings. She passed it on to the musician Dykes, and the rest is history.

Song: The World Will Know written by Pastor Mike Cosper and Brooks Ritter, based on Hymn 19 and Hymn 7 by Isaac Watts.

Reading:
Just as the Father, Son and Spirit are united – God longs for us to be united as his church. Hear Christ’s prayer for us:

I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me. “I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one. I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me. Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began!                                                                                                                        -John 17:20-24
Song: Fellowship So Deep written by Aaron Senseman and Kinley Lange.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with all of you.                            -2 Corinthians 13:14
