"Mourning Into Dancing" In The Blogosphere

Tony Kummer recorded the above video, which features a behind-the-scenes look at yesterday’s sold-out Band Of Bloggers event during Together For The Gospel week here in Louisville. You’ll hear our recording of “Mourning Into Dancing” from These Things I Remember in the background (written by Sojourn worship leader Jeremy Quillo).

And the green Ford Explorer, used to transport the gift bags full of books for conference attendees? That’s mine. My car is a video star. Maybe it will stop being so greedy for gas now.  The folks who are carrying bags out of the Explorer included several of the panelists and organizers themselves, and volunteers from Sojourn.

You’ll also see the introductory remarks at Band Of Bloggers, by event founder and organizer Tim Brister. He always does a great job of bringing Christian bloggers together, and putting on panel discussions that enlighten and provoke those who are interested in learning how we can think and act in a Christ-like manner through the medium of blogging, as in all facets of life.

More info on what the panel discussed during the 2010 Band Of Bloggers is available now at TravelBlog, Sojourn’s online journal.

And speaking of video guy Tony Kummer, author of the popular ministry-to-children blog, he also shot video in and around Sojourn’s 930 Art Center, and interviewed Pastor Jared Kennedy and me about Our Home Is Like A Little Church, a new children’s storybook written by Lindsey Blair and me, with illustrations by Tessa Janes.  Christian Focus is releasing the book here in the U.S. later this spring. Here is the video:
