This set list is one of many that you can find at the worship music set list blog carnival at fredmckinnon.com, featuring many different kinds of churches. Photos here by Sojourn’s Dan Canales, from the 11:15 a.m. Germantown service.
1. My Maker And My King, hymn text by Anne Steel, melody and arrangement by Sojourn Worship & Arts Pastor Mike Cosper. You can hear the mp3 and view the chord sheet from our Before The Throne page. We used “My Maker and My King” as the “song of adoration” on our liturgically-themed Before The Throne project, which is how we used it here — a response to God’s gracious Call To Worship.
2. Nothing Without You, written by Bebo Norman. This song of confession and petition says it all: without God we can do nothing, and we can expect no good end:
Take my time here on earth
And let it glorify all that You are worth
For I am nothing, I am nothing,
I am nothing without You
3. Fellowship So Deep, written by Aaron Senseman and Kinley Lange. This Caedmon’s Call song is good as a song of assurance and also as a lead-in to the Passing Of The Peace. It’s also good for weddings, member meetings and any time you want to encourage a spirit of togetherness and fellowship:
We can feel his love among us; we can sing redemption’s song
We can hear the Spirit call us to a place where we belong
For His joy is in our laughter and His comfort in our grief
Let His love here ever after be the language that we speak
4. Abide With Me, hymn text by Henry Lyte, music by Justin Smith of Indelible Grace. We used “Abide With Me” as our communion hymn this week:
Abide
 with
 me;
 fast falls
 the
 eventide;
The
 darkness
 deepens;
 Lord
 with
 me
 abide.
When
other
helpers
 fail
 and
comforts

 flee
Help
 of
the
helpless,
 abide
 with
 me.
5. Sovereign Grace, O’er Sin Abounding, hymn text by , music by Sandra McCracken. Like the previous, this is a fantastic old hymn.
Sovereign grace o’er sin abounding!
Ransomed souls, the tidings swell;
‘Tis a deep that knows no sounding;
Who its breadth or length can tell?
On its glories, Let my soul for ever dwell.
6. Never Let Go, written by Matt and Beth Redman. What a great “song for the sending,” full of assurance, triumph and reliance on the power and steadfast love of God:
Oh no, You never let go
through the calm and through the storm
Oh no, You never let go
every high and every low
Oh no, You never let go oh Lord, you never let go of me

Great set, Sojourn! I love every one of those songs. I’m sure your people were blessed this morning.
I’ve been wanting to do “Nothing Without You” for some time but wondered how accessible it is for congregational singing. It’s an amazing song…how has the congegration responded?
