As most of you know, the Sojourn Music band will lead worship during Advance ‘09 this Thursday (the three-day conference will feature worship services with Vintage 21 and Mars Hill bands as well). Then this Friday, Sojourn will play a special free event (for anyone in Durham, not just Advance attenders) dubbed “Re:Sound,” along with the Mars Hill and Vintage 21 bands. (Visit the Re:Sound Facebook page as well).
Although Over The Grave: The Hymns Of Isaac Watts, Volume One won’t officially be ready to ship to those of you who order it until Tuesday, June 16, we couldn’t pass up the chance to get some advance copies to take to this huge conference and event in Raleigh.
Then for all of our Sojourn family, Louisvillians and anyone who can get to Louisville on Friday, June 19, we’re going to throw a huge CD release party. Southeast Christian Church, one of the largest churches in the United States, has graciously offered their brand new, state of the art student ministry center, The Block, so we can share this night with 3000 of you.
Jamie Barnes will open the night up with a set of original songs based on the Old Testament. Jamie is not only a part of our worship ministry but is one of the leading singer-songwriters in Louisville, who has drawn strong reviews from Billboard magazine, the Louisville Courier Journal and many other publications.
Following Jamie’s set the Sojourn “Over The Grave” band will perform every single song from our new record. Of course we’ll have plenty of CDs on hand for sale during this night, as well. We hope to see as many of you as possible at The Block, Friday, June 19 in Louisville, if not this Friday at Re:Sound in Raleigh.
