We are blessed within the Sojourn Community to have many talented music artists. Of course you’re familiar to those who play and sing on our worship albums and frequently lead worship on Sunday, as well as those who write posts or sit for interviews here on sojournmusic.com.
But Sojourn celebrates music from the church as well as music for the church. One such music-maker is Luke Asher, an indie artist here in Louisville who will be playing a CD release party here at The 930 next Tuesday, May 26. Visit our sister site, the930.org, for all the information on this show that also features Bradley Hathaway and Aaron Lee Martin. (Although Luke has also shared his talents during Sojourn Gathered services as well. See the photo above, in which he leads worship at The 930 with our own Rebecca Denniso).
In case you missed it, I reviewed Luke Asher’s album Don’t Leave So Early last year here on sojournmusic.com. What? A review last year, and a CD Release Party this year? Well, those of you who are independent artists know that the journey to an album’s completion can take a long time — even after you’ve created the art. So, congratulations to Luke, who will finally get to share his record.
If you’re near Louisville, come on out next Tuesday to support Luke and independent music.
