TravelBlog – Introducing Sojourn’s Interactive, “Big Community Effort” Blog

by Bobby Gilles on January 3, 2009

Hop on over to travelblog.sojournchurch.com to see Sojourn’s new online magazine, TravelBlog — three blogs in one.  Sojourn Lead Pastor Daniel Montgomery and our other pastors (including Worship Pastor Mike Cosper, who blogs here as well) are at the helm of “The B.C. Blog,” which will feature very regular posts centering around Sojourn’s 2009 study of the Old Testament.  And since sojournmusic.com is, well, a music-intensive site, I’ll specifically tell you about Pastor Daniel’s “Genesis Playlist” project, a blog post that gives you the opportunity to suggest your own “Soundtrack to the Book of Genesis.”

“Stories From The Road” will feature serious, funny, odd and touching looks into the community life of our Louisville church family.  Already, you’ll see the scope of what I’m talking about when you read Josh Thomas’ interview with Pastor Daniel Ems, preceded by my “Why Are They Doing That To The Shrimp” video expose of a recent community group dinner.

We’ve also got a Conferences and Events page, where you can keep up with speakers coming to Sojourn’s home, The 930 Art Center (including, right now, information on the next Sojourn songwriting seminar, featuring Keith and Kristyn Getty of “In Christ Alone, ” “O Church Arise” and other great songs).

You can also view TravelBlog’s Sojourn RSS sidebar from the homepage, to see instantly which of our websites, like Sojourn Music, has updated content since your last visit there.  And our Amazon.com partnership will let you see (and order, direct from Amazon) books recommended by Pastor Daniel.

Check it out now, or soon, and sign up for the TravelBlog RSS feed or email subscription service — word has it that Pastor Daniel will be giving some Study Bible’s away within a few days on The B.C. Blog.
