Over the past several weeks we’ve shown several “fan-cam” videos of a Sojourn worship band performing original and classic Christmas hymns from our Advent Songs project, live from Light Up Louisville, the city’s premier outdoor holiday festival. Here is the final selection from that concert, “Amen, Amen,” written by Neil and Kate Robins, Sojourn worship leaders and also members of the touring band Dirt Poor Robins. Neil and Kate based this song on Isaac Watts classic hymn, “O God, Our Help In Ages Past.” Below, Rebecca Elliott sings lead, joined by bandmates Brooks Ritter, Dave Moisan, Smitty Smith, Robert James and Worship Arts Pastor Mike Cosper. As the video begins, Pastor Mike addresses the crowd:

CORRECTION: “Amen, Amen” is based on the Isaac Watts hymn “Jesus Shall Reign,” not on his “O God Our Help In Ages Past.”
I slipped up because Brooks Ritter has written a new arrangement for the latter Watts hymn, which will be on our second “Isaac Watts” worship CD project in 2009. I’ve been humming it quite a bit lately, so I guess it was lurking in my brain and it pounced forward when I typed the phrase “based on the Isaac Watts classic hymn …”
