Sojourn worship leader Lorie King again sits in the hot seat, answering “pet peeve #3” by examining the ways in which worship leaders can avoid this trap as well as giving a worship leader’s perspective on things that worshipers in the congregation should understand.  The peeve is “Not Focusing On God.”  Respondents elaborated with comments like:

• When worship leaders perform rather than worshiping themselves
• Showing zero emotion, standing still, focusing too much on perfection
• worship leaders who seem really wrapped up in “being cool”
• when the music guy/gal asks the crowd to praise God but soaks it up like they are Bono …
