Sojourn loves its home and the surrounding neighborhoods: Germantown, Smoketown, the Highlands and the Louisville area. We love the culture of Kentucky and Southern Indiana. And so last year we chose to begin an annual event that would celebrate these things and be a gift to the community: the Sojourn Fall Festival.
It’s hard to believe a year has gone by, but in just two weeks, we’ll do it all again. If you will be anywhere near Louisville on Saturday the 18, please stop by. You will get some good free food, you will be thrashed by me at a game of Cornhole, you’ll have a bunch of truly affordable artwork to peruse, and of course we’ll have all kinds of games for kids and a petting zoo.
Perhaps the highlight for me will be the great live bluegrass and Old Time music. Check out the links to each band below. No matter what your normal musical preference, there’s nothing like a fall festival in Kentucky with some good front porch banjo picking, fiddle sawing and high, lonesome harmonizing. (Did that sound like an announcement from the stage of the Grand Ol’ Opry?)
