Sojourn Church’s Second Annual Fall Festival took place this past Saturday, and by all accounts I heard, it was a rousing success and good fun for our inner Louisville neighborhood. Due to long-standing, out-of-town plans, I couldn’t be there. But thanks to Dan Canales, whose photographic work you’ll recognize from our worship set blog posts here at sojournmusic.com, I got an inside look at the festival. And now, you will too. Here, with much thanks to Dan, is a little photo album of the 2008 Sojourn Fall Festival. And we might as well start with this great gem — Sojourn Lead Pastor Daniel Montgomery in the dunking booth:
So, is worship leader Jamie Barnes the man who put him in the water?
“Hey, when am I gonna get to dunk the pastor?”
So many pumpkins, so little time.
Not sure what this machine was … perhaps some sort of scientific experiment. Or not.
Pastor Daniel gets dunked again. Maybe he’s preaching too hard on sin.
You can’t have a fall festival in Kentucky without some pickin’ and grinnin’ music (that’s “bluegrass,” for the uninitiated).
I have absolutely no idea what to make of this.
Yes, a good time was had by all.
Thanks to Dan Canales for the cool photos, and thanks to all the volunteers who put the festival together and kept things going. This is one part of what being “in the city, for the city,” as we say at Sojourn, is all about.
Coming tomorrow — short videos take you inside the recording studio and give you the first sounds of Sojourn’s upcoming worship CD!

yup. I put Daniel in alright. I announced that my throw was dedicated to all pastoral assistant everywhere. The final photo in the series is the crowd’s reaction to when Daniel went down!
Yes, he had it coming, didn’t he?
