Sojourn’s Next Live Music Event Outside Of A Worship Service

by Bobby Gilles on August 15, 2008

fourth-street-live.jpgSojourn Music will participate in another Takin’ It To The Streets event on Sunday, September 7.  This time the band will perform outside at Fourth Street Live, Louisville’s downtown entertainment district.  This is our first return to Fourth Street Live since last year’s TV taping for WBKI, the local affiliate for The CW Network.

We’ll have further details as the date approaches.  Very likely, the band will perform some music from our upcoming Isaac Watts CD project.

The week ahead here on sojournmusic will feature Worship Arts pastor Mike Cosper talking “Doxology,” and worship leader/songwriter Rebecca Dennison writing the story behind her song “My Rock and my Redeemer” (and I will point you toward the mp3 if you don’t own These Things I Remember, the CD from whence the song comes).  We’ll also launch a new weekly blog series called “Worship Practices Explained,” along with our weekly “Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual Songs,” discussing the set list from this weekend’s Sojourn worship services, with links, lyrics and more.
