New songs for modern missional worship, rich in Christian teaching and contextualized in modern culture. Contemporary hymns, psalms, songs of lament and praise written by members of the Louisville, KY-based Sojourn Community.
The writer looks to the Lord for forgiveness in the 25th psalm
with these words:
Remember, O Lord, your compassion and unfailing
love, which you have shown from long ages past.
Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth.
Remember me in the light of your unfailing love,
for you are merciful, O Lord. - Psalm 25:6-7
The great truth of assurance is that the Lord God
shows us compassion and forgets our debt to him
through the giving of His son, Jesus. Christ came to
replace our unrighteousness with His perfect
obedience to the Father. God grants us hope through
this precious demonstration of love. The psalmist goes
on in this writing to give praise to God for his
faithfulness and his abundant mercy that he shows.

Our own Charlie Richardson wrote about the peace that God extends to us through Christ, and that we are called to share with each other, in “There is a Peace” from our CD Before the Throne. Listen to this song (and several others) for free on our Facebook page.
