Harold Best To Speak On “Thoughts For Christian Artists And Musicians” At Sojourn’s Cultivate Beauty Festival

cultivatebeauty.jpgWe’re just two weeks away from the 2008 Cultivate Beauty Festival, Sojourn’s annual art, film and music festival at our home, The 930.  Events, taking place on Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11,  include a visual art exhibition opening, live music from national and regional artists, a festival of short films and a lecture by noted author, educator and artist Harold Best entitled “What Creative People Can Learn From Creation.”  Best’s books Unceasing Worship and Music Through The Eyes Of Faith are modern classics in the fields of worship theology and music from a Christian perspective.

All events are open to the public, and all but the nightly music shows are free.  For a complete lineup of events and background information on the Cultivate Beauty Festival, visit the Cultivate Beauty page at the930.org.  You can be sure I’ll be blogging about these events.

And now, a special sojournmusic.com tip: Harold Best will also be speaking specifically to Christian artists and musicians from 10 AM to noon, EST on Saturday, May 10 at The 930.  While not advertised to the public, this event is free.  Best’s topic is “Thoughts For Christian Artists And Musicians.”  We will provide a light breakfast to all attendees.

You must RSVP to attend this event by emailing Michael Winters at michael@the930.org.   We’d love to see you there.

This lecture is the only event for which you will need to RSVP.   If you can’t join us here in Louisville, just subscribe to the sojournmusic.com RSS feed to get a summary of the event and links to the audio when available.
