Upcoming Conferences: Band of Bloggers, Dirt Poor Robins, Harold Best

I hope to see some of you at the Band of Bloggers luncheon conference next Tuesday, April 15 in downtown Louisville.  Bloggers from all over North America — well over 100, as it now stands — will be coming to fellowship, hear a panel discussion on the theme “The Gospel Trust,” and dialogue together.  I’ve been waiting for this one for some time — if you attend, I’d love to meet you.

Also remember that Sojourn’s home, The 930 Art Center, will present our second Sojourn Songwriting Seminar on Saturday, April 26 at 3 pm.  Our speakers this time are Neil and Kate Robins of Dirt Poor Robins.  Neil and Kate are also valued members of our worship arts ministry, and true jacks-of-all-trades, from singing to playing a multitude of instruments and of course, songwriting.

Last … and I can’t tell you how excited I am about this — Harold Best is coming to Sojourn’s Cultivate Beauty Film Festival on Saturday, May 10 at 6pm to speak on “What Creative People Can Learn From Creation.”  If you’ve been reading this blog for awhile you’ll know that I occasionally feature a snippet from a Best book or link to audio and video files of some of his lectures from around the country (check out his home page from our Helpful Links section).   I’ve learned quite a bit from these resources, and I’m sure he’ll have good things to teach us here in Louisville.
