Mp3 of Frank Fortunato: "Journeys into Global Worship," A Look At Christian Worship In Various Cultures

Sojourn is blessed to operate “in the city, for the city” of Louisville, Kentucky.  Louisville also happens to be the home of the Institute for Christian Worship, operated out of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary’s School of Church Music and Worship under the leadership of Professor Carl Stam.

Here is a link to an audio file from the Institute’s website (check out their site from our Helpful Links section) of a lecture by Frank Fortunato entitled “Journeys Into Global Worship: Around the World in Fifty Minutes.”  It’s a fascinating look at music for worship from many different cultures.  Understanding the musical heritage of our brothers and sisters in Christ from other lands is one way to reach out to them in spirit — and you just may hear something cool, too.

Frank Fortunato has worked to promote indigenous worship in many cultures through books, seminars, songwriting events, and the recording of non-western worship music.  He is a co-author, along with Paul Neeley and Carol Brinneman of All The World Is Singing: Glorifying God Through The Worship Music of the Nations.
