I’ve mentioned previously that Sojourn Worship Arts Pastor Mike Cosper and Teaching Pastor Daniel Montgomery, both also Elders and founding members of Sojourn, will be speaking at a major worship conference at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee.Â
The time is almost here, so if you’d like to attend this weekend conference from February 14-16, make sure you register.Â
Mike and Daniel will present “Worship, Culture, and Context: A Case Study from a Missional Church” at 3 pm on Friday the 15th. Mike will stick around for the panel discussion Saturday the 16th from 9 to 10:30 am.
Other presenters and topics for the weekend include “The Future of Christian Worship” by Marva Dawn, “Integrating the Biblical and Broader Traditions and the Baptist Heritage” by Donald P. Hustad, “The Role of Preaching in Biblical Worship” by Robert Smith, and more.
Plus, your registration fee covers meals. That’s always a plus.
Mike and Daniel have led Sojourn together since we were “the punk kid” church that rented space for services in various spots around town, and their leadership has played a pivotal role in the growth and continued cross-centered focus of Sojourn, the calling of other leaders and the development of a permanent “home” and community center in Louisville’s historic inner-city Germantown neighborhood, The 930. Together, they’ll have plenty of stories to tell as they present our “case study.”
And if you attend, make sure you say “hi” to Mike and Daniel — they’d love to see you.
