New songs for modern missional worship, rich in Christian teaching and contextualized in modern culture. Contemporary hymns, psalms, songs of lament and praise written by members of the Louisville, KY-based Sojourn Community.
Sojourn music is a ministry of Sojourn Community Church, located in the heart of Louisville, KY. WFPL (89.3 FM) recently reported on Sojourn during their airing of the National Public Radio program All Things Considered.
Reporter Elizabeth Kramer interviewed Sojourn members and staff/elders, including Teaching Pastor Daniel Montgomery. She visited a Sunday worship service and sat in on a community group meeting hosted by Jamie and Kelsey Barnes as well. Among the things she covered was Sojourn’s participation in the Acts 29 church planting network, our goal of gospel transformation in the city of Louisville and the impact Sojourn has had within the local arts community and young adults.
We thank Ms. Kramer for her time and professionalism, and we extend thanks to Louisville’s WFPL 89.3 FM and National Public Radio as well.
In other Louisville media news, Jamie Barnes is currently leading the voting at Louisville Music News’ website for “best AAA artist in Louisville.” Voting is still open.
