From Sudan to Crestwood, and more

by Bobby Gilles on December 6, 2007

The Louisville Courier Journal recently published video of an art installation at The 930 by Nadus Films.

Nadus, founded by Sojourn member Coury Deeb, documents the struggle of the war-torn nation of Sudan to rebuild and helps to make people aware of the plight of many Sudanese children.  From the Nadus website:

THE NEW SUDAN is an art installation resulting from two recent trips to Sudan by Nadus Films, a non-profit documentary film company based in Louisville, Kentucky.
The exhibit tells the story of Southern Sudan’s struggle with years of civil war and the fragile peace they’re struggling to sustain. Original pieces will include children’s drawings of their past war memories as well as their dreams for a peaceful future. You’ll also see original photography pieces from Sudanese children who’ve for the first time used a camera to express their artistic expressions. Other works include photography by Coury Deeb and film excerpts from Nadus Films.

In other news, one of Sojourn’s bands led worship for Crestwood Baptist Church’s youth group last night.  Crestwood Baptist is a strong, biblical church located just outside of Louisville in Crestwood, KY and the Sojourn band was glad to worship with their youth.

Thanks to those of you who have checked out our brand new Christmas season CD, Advent Songs, and those who have ordered copies.  We tried to make it as inexpensive as possible, as a Christmas gift to all.  Order soon to make sure it arrives before Christmas.
