New songs for modern missional worship, rich in Christian teaching and contextualized in modern culture. Contemporary hymns, psalms, songs of lament and praise written by members of the Louisville, KY-based Sojourn Community.
Back in 2003, Sojourn recorded it’s first multi-artist, multi-songwriter album, a Christmas season CD called Songs for the Advent. Now for the first time, you can listen to every song on this album for free right here on sojournmusic.com or download it for free from our page at Last FM.
That’s surprise #1, and the reason for it is surprise #2 … we’ve updated Songs for the Advent, creating a whole new Christmas CD that will be available very soon. Stay tuned here for details, and until then, enjoy listening to 2003’s Songs for the Advent.
In other news, Before the Throne is now available for digital downloading from iTunes for just $9.99. Napster subscribers, you can check it out there as well. Thanks to each of you who have, collectively, watched the Sojourn band’s performance on The CW’s “Takin’ It To The Streets” TV show over 400 times online so far. The video is still available for viewing through AOL.
And speaking of thanks, have a warm holiday and a safe time traveling. Remember what it’s all about — a time to give God thanks for his love and care for us and, as Jeremy Quillo wrote and sang about in These Things I Remember, for turning our Mourning into Dancing.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 “give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
