The latest news … iTunes, record stores, Brooks Ritter interview and more …

by Bobby Gilles on November 15, 2007

Before the Throne will soon be available for downloading through many digital distribution companies, including iTunes. Some companies take longer than others to get the accounts set up and the music ready for download — it could take anywhere from a couple weeks to three months for each distributor, so stay tuned here for details. As of today, these digital distributers have received Before the Throne and begun the process:

  • Apple iTunes
  • Rhapsody
  • BuyMusic
  • Napster
  • AudioLunchbox
  • GreatIndieMusic
  • Muze
  • Tradebit
  • PayPlay
  • MusicIsHere
  • Inprodicon

Before the Throne is also available to over 2400 independent record stores worldwide, most of which are in the U.S. at this time — stores like Subterranean Records in New York, Sonic Boom in Seattle and Davis-Kidd Booksellers, which has outlets in cities like Nashville and Memphis.

Of course, you can still buy it — as well as check out free chord sheets and mp3s — right here on sojournmusic.com by clicking on the Before the Throne page.

Many of you have viewed Sojourn’s 22-minute worship music set on The CW Network’s Louisville affiliate, WBKI TV, as part of the Takin’ It To The Streets series. Over 300 people, to be precise, have streamed the video at AOL. For those of you who haven’t done so yet, do so now.

On Monday, November 19 stop by this site as Will Kottheimer interviews Sojourn worship leader Brooks Ritter. Brooks sang on the majority of Before the Throne tracks and co-wrote two songs for the CD: “In The Shadow of the Glorious Cross” with Rebecca Bales Elliott and “Lead Us Back” with me. He is a phenomenal all-around talent and a legitimately humble servant of Christ — you won’t want to miss this chance to learn more about his life and music.
