This Friday and Saturday, September 28 and 29, the Sojourn band will lead worship for college students who have come from across the state of Kentucky to attend Focus 2007 at Crestwood Baptist Church, just outside of Louisville (at 6400 Sweetbay Drive, Crestwood, KY  40014).

Focus conferences are held every fall, and are designed to equip college students with leadership skills.  Sessions at this year’s conference will prepare students to transform the culture through prayer, purity, proclamation and helping the poor.

Sojourn will be the only band at this conference, and will lead the students in worship with songs from our new CD, “Before The Throne,” as well as other songs of worship and witness.  We will be playing during the initial session Friday evening, and will also lead worship Saturday morning and afternoon.

During the teaching sessions, students will engage these questions:

1. What is my responsibility as a Christian to impact culture?

2. Why does my major and future profession matter anyway?

3. What about extreme poverty and injustice in the world?
