Feature article features news on Sojourn’s worship arts

“Before The Throne” was birthed out of a series of conversations taking place between churches all across North America, facilitated by the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Calvin uses the term “Vertical Habits” to describe the dialogue between God and us, and it challenged churches to come up with ways to teach the concept of worship as a life lived before the throne of God, where each day we are talking and listening to God, praising and confessing, offering and receiving.

Sojourn took up this challenge with our CD “Before The Throne,” as well as a visual art presentation and prose devotional.  To read about this and Vertical Habits projects from other churches, visit the Calvin Institute
